Rick joined Significance in early 2021 after a distinguished 30-year career in the US Marine Corps, where he gained expertise in financial management with both the Department of the Navy and Department of Defense. He is leading business development efforts and managed the team that successfully won the recompete contract for the Budget Execution, Reporting, Data Management Solutions, and Audit Readiness Measures for the Marine Corps. Although Rick’s focus is on the West Coast, he has a hand in business development activities across the country.
While active duty, Rick served two tours at Headquarters, United States Marine Corps in the Programs and Resources Department as the Budget Execution Branch Head and as the Director of the Fiscal Division, responsible for the Audit, Accounting, Payroll and Non-appropriated funds operations for the entire Marine Corps. Operationally, he served as the 3d Marine Aircraft Wing Comptroller, First Marine Expeditionary Force Comptroller, and Marine Forces Pacific Comptroller, where he was responsible for over $2.1 billion in appropriated funds. Throughout these leadership assignments, Rick gained significant experience and a thorough understanding of all phases of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, Execution and Assessment phases under PPBEA.
Rick holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Colorado, an MBA in Management from Webster University, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Level III DoD Financial Management Certification.
After ending his military career in Hawaii, Rick now resides in Las Vegas and is enjoying contributing to the amazing corporate culture he’s become part of at Significance.
